Help One80 Place this Holiday Season

The giving season is upon us and we're getting lots of calls from people wanting to help! At One80 Place, we provide shelter and supportive services to more than 1,600 people every year. The need is great, and continues throughout the year.

1. Make a Financial Gift
The best way you can help us this holiday season is to make a financial gift to One80 Place. Your financial gifts ensure we can provide the programs that help people end their homelessness and return to stable, safe living environments. This includes programs like counseling, job training, primary and mental healthcare, civil legal programs, adult basic education, financial literacy, housing support, and more. Your financial support means there is a/c in the summer and heat in the winter. It means there are laundry facilities for our homeless neighbors to wash their clothes, and hot showers to clean up after a long day. With your support, we can end homelessness one person at a time, one family at a time.

2. Donate Food and Supplies
We accept donations of non-perishable food items, toiletries, new socks and underwear, new linens and more at the Bakker Family Donation Center at One80 Place.

Please note: we cannot accept toys, clothing, household items, used baby items, or prepared foods from individuals. Our guests have very limited storage space while they're living here. If they need clothing, we partner with Goodwill and other local thrift stores to provide our guests with vouchers to go pick out what they would like. This is a great partnership that supports both organizations, so we strongly encourage you to donate these items to Goodwill, or the thrift store of your choice. The health department prohibits us from serving prepared foods from individuals.

Our donation hours in Charleston are Monday-Friday from 8 am - noon and 1 pm - 5 pm. Our donation hours in Summerville are Saturday and Sunday from 8 am - 4 pm. If you're not sure if we can accept your donation, please call us first at 843-723-9477 during regular business hours. Please note, our donation center is closed Dec. 24-26 due to the Christmas holiday.

3. Organize a Drive
You can help us this holiday season and throughout the year by organizing a supply drive to benefit One80 Place and the people we serve. Please contact us first to make arrangements.

4. Volunteer
We are launching a new volunteer program to serve a meal in the Zucker Family Community Kitchen beginning in January. You can sign up online now! You will have to register and then reserve your spot. We expect these dates to fill up quickly.

Thank you for supporting One80 Place! Please be respectful of our donation hours; we are simply not equipped to accept donations at all hours of the day. Thank you!
