Holy Spokes and Charleston Moves help get One80 Place residents new bikes
It’s pretty safe to assume that Friday morning the majority of Charleston commuters were not thinking about riding their bikes as the peninsula transformed into the lost city of Atlantis, but over at One80 Place, bikes have been on the brain a lot lately.
One80 Place, a local shelter that serves women, children, families, and veterans, has had a bike share program in place for the past year. Recently, however, Charleston Moves partnered with Trek Bicycle Store to help bring in five brand-new bikes, specially reserved for members of the shelter who are employed. The bikes are meant to help them have a more reliable source of transportation to and from the workplace.
