One80 Place has a new board chair

One80 Place’s Board of Directors elects Herbert L. Drayton, III chair


Charleston, SC, July 31, 2018
, One80 Place announced today Herbert L. Drayton, III will serve as chair of One80 Place’s Board of Directors.

Herbert's career began right out of high school serving our country in the United States Marine Corps Reserve and the United States Air Force. The military is where he realized persistence is good, and strong leadership skills, along with a hard work ethic, are invaluable. While in the military, Herbert earned an AS in Electronic Systems Technology through the Community College of the Airforce, and later, a BS in Business Administration through the University of Phoenix. Herbert is the President and CEO of Vertical Holdings, an investment group operating five businesses, including Carolina Center for Occupational Health, Carolina Correctional Healthcare Management, Corporate Scholar, Dale Carnegie, and Productivity Solutions Training.

Herbert is succeeding Scott Adams as chair. Scott will continue to serve on the board of directors as Immediate Past Chair.  Herbert's two-year term leading the board will include some new members. They are Lindsey Carter (Troubadour), Brad Harvey (DoubleTree by Hilton Hotels & Suites Charleston), Jamie Lynch (EnviroSmart), and Tom O'Brien (Proctor & Gamble–retired).
