Food is often the first reason people seek out One80 Place. Our Community Kitchen serves an average of 185 lunches a day to anyone in need.
One80 Place provides Veteran Services to both men and women who have served, or live with a spouse who has served, in the military.
One80 Place has two shelters dedicated to women and children, one in downtown Charleston and one in Summerville.
Health issues are both a cause and a result of being homeless. One of the first things we offer those seeking our help is a complete medical screening in our Homeless Health Clinic.
Many homeless individuals and families have little understanding of their legal rights and have a general distrust for the system.
Nearly half of people seeking our help lack a high school education or GED. Many more are unemployed and do not have the skills required for long term, stable professions.
