Raise money and awareness for those experiencing homelessness all throughout March Madness Tournament!

All March long, Smash City Burgers is donating $1 per burger sold to Hoops Against Homelessness.

Hoops Against Homelessness was created by Wade Altum, a fifth grader from Daniel Island, back in 2020. 

Combining his love for basketball and helping others, Wade challenged his friends and family to shoot ten free throws and donate for every free throw made.

Since then, the campaign has taken off and now it is your turn to join the team and make a difference in your community!

How it works

There are many ways to join the fun and make an impact in your community. You can:

  • Join Wade and shoot free throws for donations;

  • Host a dribbling contest; donate registration fee to the contest;

  • Open a concessions bake sale and donate the proceeds;

  • Put on a 3-v-3 tournament and donate team “buy in” fee;

  • Create a bracket tournament and donate a portion of proceeds;

  • Get your favorite restaurant, bar, or business to have a themed, specialty food item and donate proceeds;

  • Or create your own basketball competition and raise money to end homelessness.
