Former Homeless Man Reunites with Dog After Getting Back on His Feet
By Live 5 News Web Staff CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - The Charleston Animal Society and One80 place teamed up to make a special difference in one man's life.
Adam Gibson was separated from his dog "Bronx" earlier this year.
Bronx was placed in the care of the Charleston Animal Society temporarily until Adam could get himself back on his feet.
Adam was living in the woods with his fiancee and Bronx for some time.
That's when he asked for the help.
One of the Outreach specialists at the Charleston Animal Society says this is why their partnership with One80 place is a key program.
"This is a really neat relationship that we have with One80 place to be able to do this, because it allows the owner to get back on their feet," said Kristin Kifer, an outreach specialist."And it also gives them the hope that they will get to be reunited with their family members."
While Bronx was away, Adam was able to receive help from One80 place in finding a new job and a place to live.
