Turkey and a $20

On Tuesday, November 26, we will host our annual Turkey and a $20 from 8am – 4pm. We are asking the community to bring a turkey (fresh or frozen) and a $20 donation (or more), and drop it off at One80 Place (located at 35 Walnut Street in downtown Charleston). We’ll have on-air personalities and mascots celebrating from 11 AM to 1 PM.

Last year, the effort raised $56,000 and 450 turkeys. One80 Place provided 3,600 nutritious meals with the donated proteins and used the monetary donations to provide its clients with the programs and services needed to end their homelessness. Our goal this year is to collect $60,000 and 400 turkeys. Donations will help keep clients warm, their bellies filled, and ultimately, find them new homes.

We want everyone to have the opportunity to engage in the spirit of giving no matter how busy their schedule. In the short time it takes to drive through and drop off a turkey and $20, someone can help feed hundreds of people.
